After witnessing the murder of his beloved grandfather, Cha Dong Joo falls from the windowsill of his house and loses his hearing. Bong Woo Ri is an intelligent woman who pretends to be dim-witted in order to protect the dignity of her mentally handicapped step-father. Her step brother, Bong Ma Roo, runs away from home to escape the nonsense of his household. Sixteen years later, Bong Woo Ri encounters her old childhood friend Cha Dong Joo who now pretends he can hear and finds out that his supposed brother Jang Joon Ha is actually her long lost step brother, Bong Ma Roo.

Kim Sam Soon is a 29-year-old average female who has a talent for baking cakes and pasteries. On Christmas Eve, she catches her boyfriend, Min Hyun Woo, cheating on her. Distraught, she rushes into the men's restroom and it is there she meets the seemingly heartless Hyun Jin Hun. Afterwards, the two meet again when Hyun Jin Hun needs a baker for his restaurant. Sam Soon is hired to become the restaurant's chief baker and they continue to cross each others' paths--finding one problem after the next.
