Yan Da Feng's grandfather, Yan Yun Gao, was a hunter who was saved by
Xie Fu An's grandmother, Huang Chun Xiang. She treated his wounds with
herbal medicines which ended up saving his life and the two ended up
falling in love shortly afterwards. Their fairytale fantasy is disrupted
when Yan Yun Gao must return to his previous lifestyle, but he promises
he will come back to meet her again. After years of waiting, Yan Yun Gao
still has not returned, but Huang Chun Xiang continues to wholeheartedly
cherish his promise of coming back. She is also raising her daughter's kids, Xie Fu An and Xie Pi Dan
along with their dog Anthony. Xie Fu An studied herbs and treats patients
at the local hospital. One day, Yan Yun Gao is rushed to the hospital
due to a heart attack and Xie Fu An gives him herbs to help him regain consciousness. After he wakes up,
he quickly notices the resemblance between Xie Fu An's face and Huang Chun Xiang. He announces that he
will pass on his immense fortune to whoever marries Xie Fu An. Yan Yun
Gao's family and predecessors find the initiative completely grotesque,
but unwillingly comply with this condition in order to secure their
wealth. Yan Da Feng agrees to marry Xie Fu An, after having placed so
many traps and making her life miserable behind the scenes. When Yan Da Feng
starts developing feelings for Xie Fu An, regret and external forces
will get in the way between this seemingly easy fortune.
