Kang Bok Goo is a street fighter who grew up in a foster home. His brother, Kang Min Goo, fell in love with the famous actress Cha Eun Seok and falls off the rooftop of a building while reaching towards her picture on a billboard. Kang Bok Goo decides to take revenge upon this woman by becoming her bodyguard and getting close to her. As he waits for the perfect time to take his revenge, Kang Bok Gu witnesses his love for Cha Eun Seok blossom.

Han Ji Eun is a naive writer who gets swindled out of everything she owns by her best friends. Stranded in China, she manages to borrow money from a popular actor named Lee Young Jae in order to return to Korea. When she returns home, she discovers that her house was bought by Lee Young Jae. In an attempt to get her possessions back, she enters in a contract marriage with Young Jae for one year. In spite of losing everything, Ji Eun manages to be cheerful and takes things in strike and the business relationship between the two becomes personal as they start to rely and care for one another.
