With the sudden death of the reigning king of modern-day Korea's constitutional monarchy, a grand wedding for the Crown Prince, Lee Shin, has been announced as a publicity move in order to improve the image of the Royal family. The intended bride? The headstrong, awkward, and sweet spirited Sin Chae Kyeong that just happens to go to the same exclusive art school as the king-to-be. Chae Kyeong was betrothed to become the next Crown Princess by her grandfather and Shin's grandfather. After 14 years of living in England with his mom, Lee Yool, Shin's cousin and former Crown Prince, appears out of the blue. Everything seemed to be going normally until Chae Kyeong's optimistic spirit wins the heart of the internally lonely, Yool. Meanwhile, the Crown Prince Shin begins developing deeper feelings for the simple-minded Chae Kyeong.
